Room size and heat load
Length, width and ceiling height are a useful starting point. Sun-facing windows, electrical equipment, lighting and the usual number of occupants can all add heat and influence the output required.
Single-room or multi-room system
The number of rooms affects the equipment and overall design. One room may need a simple single-split arrangement; several rooms may be better served by multiple outdoor units or a carefully selected multi-split system.
Indoor and outdoor unit positions
Unit placement influences performance, appearance and the work involved. The quotation needs to account for wall construction, access, clearances and a practical external location.
Pipework and drainage routes
The distance and route between the indoor and outdoor equipment matter. Longer or concealed routes, work at height and difficult access can make installation more involved.
Electrical requirements
The proposed equipment needs a suitable electrical supply. Any project-specific electrical work should be identified and explained as part of the quotation.
System specification and controls
Efficiency, sound levels, appearance, smart controls and the required heating and cooling performance can influence the recommended model.
